Trauma Surgery Medical Director opportunity in Northeast FL - Hospital employed Job-6104
* seeking a BC Trauma Surgeon to take the role of Trauma Medical Director leading a dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team in the only trauma center in County.
* Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma center and is pursuing Level II verification by the American College of Surgeons.
* Candidates must be BC in General Surgery and Fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care - must have previous Trauma Medical Director experience (associate or full) with state and or regional exposure
* Will lead the trauma program and acute care surgery service.
* Duties are organized around 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up. The acute care surgery team has six advanced practice professionals, with 24-hour APP coverage
* General surgery and emergency medicine residents rotate on the service
* Very competitive compensation with academic appointment through University of South Florida - package to include 401K, malpractice, loan repayment assistance,PTO, CME, relocation etc....
