Details of Assignment #88789:
-- Board Certified and active Pennsylvania license required
-- 24 hour call coverage 7am-7am or 24 hour back up call. Three to four hours in house for rounds and the rest of the time 30 minute response time to the hospital.
-- Three to four shifts per month. Typically weekends, but may have a few 5-7 day stretches.
-- ACLS, ATLS and PALS required
Additional Information:
--Level II Trauma
--Patient Mix: Medical - 50% | Surgical - 30% | Trauma - 20% | Adult - 98% | Pediatrics - 2%
--Typical Day: 8am morning report, 830am rounds, block time from 730a-1130a; Primary- responding to traumas, consults, etc.; back-up after morning report; and rounds is free to do what they would like as long as within 30 minutes.
--Will work solo
--Tertiary care hospital so most specialties on site with the exception of peds, burn, some plastics
--Procedures: Laparoscopic Appendectomy, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy and Hernia repair
--EMR: Cerner
--90 days for full credentials
