A large hospital is seeking a transplant surgeon for locum tenens coverage. Temporary privileges are available for this assignment.
The facility is located outside of Boston, MA. While in Boston, you have the opportunity to see one of the most historic cities in the United States. In between all the tours and famous sites, take a trip to Fenway Park or get some seafood at any of the downtown spots like the Union Oyster House that is one of the oldest restaurants still in operation today in the United States.
Assignment details:
-Clinic/call/OR days
-Call 1:4
-Clinics are multi-specialty clinics because the patients are seen by multiple specialists when they are assessed so the transplant surgery does not have its own dedicated clinic
-They would also see donor patients as well - specifically liver and kidney and would need to do procurement as well
-APP coverage - at least 2
-30 transplants per year for kidney and livers as well as post-transplant and hernia surgery
-All transplants have a 90-day post op follow up
-Must have active MA license
