Thoracic Surgery is one of our most critical needs. The Army Reserves Medical Corps allows you the opportunity to maintain your full time civilian career while providing care for soldiers and their families on a part-time basis.

We offer programs and incentives for every experience level, from the resident to seasoned Physician. We will consider ages up to 60 years old on a case by case basis! In fact, many of our applicants are later in their careers looking for opportunities to give back. We also offer special units designed for medical professionals that require a maximum level of flexibility in the way they serve.

Please consider some fantastic benefits that may interest you:

FULLY LICENSED General Surgeons:
- Student Loan Repayment up to $250,000
- Special Pay of $75,000 annually
- Commissioned as a medical officer (Ranks are based off education and experience level)
- Monthly Drill Pay
- Retirement Programs- Non contributory and 401K matches
- Tricare Reserve Health Insurance- 228.00 per month for the entire family

RESIDENTS:
- Monthly Stipend of over $2400 (Nearly $30,000 additional income while completing residency)
- Student Loan Repayment up to $250,000
- Minimal "Army" requirements in residency. Focus on your profession, and serve your time back after residency is completed.

If you have ever considered working with Army Medicine or are interested in providing care to our nation's Soldiers, please do not hesitate to contact me! I cover Physician Outreach for the New England states, but I'm more than happy to refer you to one of my colleagues located throughout the country, if need be.
