Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery associated with nationally ranked teaching facility
* Opportunity to lead and develop growing group of CT Surgeons
* Teaching facility looking to develop a Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency program
* Duties include: leadership of CT division, development of team culture, mentor younger surgeons, leadership responsibilities in CT hospital service line and transplant hospital service line
* Potential candidates must be clinically active in all facets of Adult Cardiac Surgery and Transplant Surgeries
* Hospital´s transplant program is one of largest in country
* Large thoracic aortic program in collaboration with nationally recognized division of vascular surgery
* Candidates must demonstrate progressive leadership skills, administrative experience and innovative entrepreneurial capabilities
* Interest in and support of clinical research needed
* 5 plus years of experience required
* Strong surgical support group including 4 surgical PA/APNs
* Closed dedicated CTICU
* Medical School is ranked 34th in federal research expenditures for public universities
* Excellent starting salary plus additional compensation for Chief responsibilities
