I have a need for a locums Thoracic Surgery physician able to help cover 24-hour call shifts for the dates listed below.
- Schedule: 7a-7a 24 hr call
- 24-hr call
- Level II trauma
- Must be Board Certified
- Must have an active Iowa license and DEA
- Call Volume into ER is approx. 1 a week. Patients are usually treated in ER and admitted then Cardiovascular surgeon visits the following day (unless urgent)
- Required Procedures: must be able to do both cardio and vascular, endovascular not expected as an interventional radiologist will do angiograms
- Patient Load: 6-7 rounding ppd, Adult only
- Specialty Backups: Surgical services, radiology, etc
- EMR: Power Charts/Cerner (experience preferred) NP's generally do most of the entering
- Privileging: within 1 week
