Hospital is seeking a BE/BC ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases (surgically trained in retina and vitreous) to join a respected and successful multi-specialty group medical practice.

  • A 19 inpatient bed acute care hospital, with 3 OR’s and 7 EM beds, growing to nearly four (4) times its size in the next 2-3 years.
  • Surgery Center with 4 ORs and overnight beds available
  • Open ICU, adding ten (10) new ICU beds September 2023
  • Position available due to retirement of fully established, busy practice with plenty of growth potential
  • Experienced, full-time ophthalmologist specializing in corneal disease and refractive surgery on staff
  • Inpatient/ER consults and procedures
  • Collaboration with colleagues across the health system
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • 1:4 call (1 week per month), light call but does include occasional trauma
  • Quick access to supporting specialists and emergent care
  • Will have use of ultra-widefield camera with autofluorescence and fluorescein angiography capabilities, as well as Zeiss Cirrus 5000 OCT and high-quality ophthalmic ultrasound, retinal laser
  • Surgical technician as Surgery Center trained in retinal surgery
