Job Description
The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh and the UPMC Center for Cranial Base Surgery are seeking a fellowship-trained rhinologist and skull base surgeon to join the academic faculty at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor.
Practice Opportunities:
- Develop a strong clinical practice in the areas of rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery including medical and surgical management of rhinologic conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Teaching and mentoring opportunities to medical students, residents and fellows.
- Build a robust research program in conjunction with other faculty within the Department.
- Candidates with basic, translational, or clinical research experience in rhinology are encouraged to apply.
Professional Skills:
- Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
- Successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in areas of clinical care, education and scholarly activity.
- Eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania

The University of Pittsburgh Division of Rhinology
The University of Pittsburgh Division of Rhinology has a rich tradition of advancing care in both the medical and surgical treatment of rhinosinusitis and has strong collaboration with pulmonary medicine, immunology and the UPMC Cystic Fibrosis Center. The UPMC Center for Cranial Base Surgery was the first such center in North America and is a joint collaboration between the Departments of Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery that further benefits from strong collaborations with ophthalmology, neuroradiology, endocrinology and radiation oncology. The Center is well recognized as a leader in open and endoscopic skull base surgery.
