Neurosurgery Chief of Spine Surgery

Westchester Medical Center

The Department of Neurosurgery at Westchester Medical Center is seeking a board-certified neurosurgeon with advanced training and/or experience in spine surgery to serve as the Section Chief of Spine Surgery. Responsibilities include strategic planning and oversight of the spine section, maintaining a productive surgical practice in spinal disease and disorders, teaching and mentoring neurosurgical residents and fellows, advancing knowledge in the field through publication and presentation of discoveries and best practices in patient care. Ability to obtain active New York medical licensure.

The candidate would be integral to the further expansion of a rapidly growing department and Spine Center. The Department of Neurosurgery has an excellent multi-disciplinary collaboration with orthopedics and an integrated pain management practice as well as significant institutional resources for both inpatient and outpatient growth already allocated. A strong interest and track record in clinical care, administration, teaching, research, and programmatic development are critical to this position. Subspecialty interests within Spine Surgery will be strongly supported.
