Locum Source Staffing is working with a hospital in central Ohio that is looking for a locum Neurosurgeon starting 3/25/2022.

Locum Source Staffing will provide malpractice insurance, state license reimbursement, travel, and housing.

Dates needed:
  • March 25 am- April 1am (primary at MCSA and MCGC and back up at MCE)
  • April 1am-11am (primary at MCSA and MCGC and back up at MCE)
  • April 11 am – April 18 am (Primary MCE)
  • May 2am-May 9 am (Primary MCE)
  • May 1am-9am (primary at MCSA and MCGC and back up at MCE)
  • May 23am-June 3am- (Primary MCE)
  • July 1 am-July 6am- (Primary MCE)
  • July 25am-August 1 am (primary at MCSA and MCGC and back up at MCE)
Schedule: 24 hrs call coverage

Setting:
  • Hospital - general neurosurgery call and comprehensive stroke center and level 2 trauma center.
  • Cerebrovascular expertise required.
  • Patient Demographic: Adults

Duties/Procedures: *Will provide a full, comprehensive list upon inquiry.
  • Adult/trauma neurosurgery cases
  • Cerebrovascular
  • Aneurysm repair
  • Tumor removal
  • Brain bleed stoppage
  • trauma repair
  • shunt insertion or revision
  • cranial burr holes
  • intracranial pressure monitor
  • intracranial hemorrhage
  • TBI, neurocritical cases
  • ventricular taps
  • ventriculoperitoneal shunt/taps/reprogramming
  • ventriculostomy
  • spine surgery procedures: laminectomy, spinal fusion, spine stabilization and reconstruction
Requirements:
  • OH License - Required
  • Board Certification- Required
  • BLS- Required
  • Minimal (one or two small amounts) or no malpractice - Required
  • Required Procedures: See # 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 28
  • COVID vaccine - Required, note at the time of name clear
Other:
  • # of surgical cases per day: 0-2
  • Annual ER volume: 90,000+
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Must be available to do inpatient consults and ED consults via telephone or in person as needed
  • Experience with neurosurgical management for trauma and stroke patient
