An acute care facility located in a town outside of Mobile, Alabama is seeking a full-time, permanent General Surgeon for a permanent physician opening!

The Physician - General Surgeon Job Description:

• Full-time, direct hire position as General Surgeon
• Mon-Fri, 7AM-4PM
• No call schedule
• General surgery including scopes
• Mostly outpatient as there is no 24 hour surgery center
• Additional staff: 2 other surgeons, 5 full-time RNs, 1 Manager, and a rotation of techs
• Consultations have been at a good volume. Provider group of 9 providers, 7 of which provide Primary Care. Getting in front of these providers and getting them comfortable with him/her will pay dividends in helping to have a successful practice
• Roughly 400 surgeries per year, however rapidly growing

The Physician - General Surgeon Qualifications:

• Providing general surgery for hospital, upper & lower scopes, surgery clinic
• Types of procedures: Appendectomy, EGD with Dilation, Hernia Repair Open & Laparoscopic, Cholecystectomy, Colon Resection Laparoscopic & Open, Lumpectomy/Mastectomy, Skin CA Excision /Biopsy, Foreign Body Removal, Exploratory Laparotomy, Sentinel Node Bx, Wire Localization Excision of Breast Mass, Colonoscopy, and more
• General Surgeon must hold at least 3 years of progressive post-residency experience
• Will possess or is willing to obtain current Alabama Medical Licensure
• Board Certification or eligibility in general surgery required
• Graduate from an accredited medical school as MD or DO.
