Catapult Healthcare has a client in North Carolina that needs a general surgery physician to provide coverage at their facility on a locum tenens basis. The ideal candidate will be able to offer a block of 7-10 string of shift coverage per month beginning in March of this year. Please see details below:
Job Description:
• Same Day Surgery Center
• Services: Orthopedics | Cardiology | Critical Care Unit | Urology | OBGYN | Radiology
• Volume: 22,000 annual ED visits
• Average total inpatient Census/month: 3
• Average # of admissions/month: 7
• # of Surgical cases per month: 7
Primary Responsibilities:
• 24-hour On Call for shift | Not required to remain on site
• No response to codes | No ER back up responsibilities |No ICU/Critical Care Duties
• Types of Procedures: amputations, tracheostomy, chest tube, endoscopy (EGD/Colon), G tube insertion, colon removal/resection, appendectomy, cholecystectomy
