We are seeking Surgeons to provide night and weekend coverage for the community hospital, where the people and staff are very welcoming and helpful. The smaller size of the hospital allows for more personalized care without the stress of bureaucracy often seen at larger institutions without compromising care. The ideal candidate will be focused on quality patient-centered care in a smaller community setting.

Position Details:

• BE/BC in General Surgery, licensed in the state of NC, and active NC DEA number
• Weeknights (M-F) are 5p-7a; Weekends (Sa & Su) are 7a-7a
• Performs General Surgery consults and admissions
• Performs emergency operative procedures
• Cross coverage on admitted patients and admissions from ED
• Procedures performed include laparoscopic cholecystectomies & appendectomies, I&D, exploratory, and small bowel resections
• Low volume with no trauma coverage
• Meditech EMR, switching to Epic this fall
