A hospital in Idaho is starting their own general surgery group and wants to hire 2 general surgeons. The schedule will be Monday through Friday with a 1:3 call. The incoming surgeon can expect to see 20 patients per day on average in the clinic. You will cover clinic patients as well as scheduled and emergency surgery needs and inpatient care needs. This is a growing campus with a network of regional internal medicine, primary, and specialty care clinics. They welcome fellows and board-certified MDs and DOs.

This employed position offers a 2-year base salary plus incentive compensation. You will also receive relocation assistance, a sign-on bonus, medical benefits, life insurance/disability, 20 days of vacation, 6 holidays, 1 week of CME and $3K, a retirement plan, and malpractice coverage. You will also be offered to buy ownership in an ambulatory surgery center that is majority owned by the hospital.
