Practice Description: General Surgeon

Location: Beautiful White Mountain National Forest, Berlin NH

Shift: 4 day work week, fixed weekday off

Call: 1:3 days

Seeking a full-time BC General Surgeon with at least 3 years’ experience as a shared hospital employee.

* Full-time, 4-day work week with fixed weekday off

* Call coverage only at AVH

* Highly skilled IT teams for support

* Clinical support by a nurse or MA

* Imaging, Lab, PT and OT on site

* Surgical time in OR split between GS and Endo - must be proficient in endo.

* 16-22 pts daily

Ideal candidate will be able to perform chest wall/pleural procedures, breast, hand, endo, Nissen fundoplication. We will be seeking 5+ year commitment and interested in becoming part of the local community, though all contracts have a 90 day out clause. Must have exceptional communication skills, compassionate, good work ethic, enthusiasm to learn, maturity, honesty and a sense of humor. Must want to live within 1/2 hour of AVH for call responsibilities. Ties to NH, VT, or ME helpful and familiarity with winter encouraged.
