General Surgery Locums opportunity in Northeastern NC starting in March of 2020. They are seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to help provide coverage for the Group. This would-be 24-hour coverage and they have 4-5 shifts per month.

Details:

• Inpatient only
• 24hr call only – no clinic
• Nights and weekends required
• LT does not respond to codes
• LT required to cover consults and procedures in ED during call
• BLS Required
  • If candidate would like conscious sedation privileges candidate will be required to have ACLS and PALS
• Estimated surgical cases per week: 15 OR cases
• No ICU or critical care duties/no codes
• Established practice with existing surgeons - team includes 3 physicians
• Procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, Appendectomy & Cholecystectomy
• EHR – Meditech
• Travel and lodging are covered.
