Pediatric General Surgeon - in Florida
StartDate: ASAP
On behalf of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, FL, MillicanSolutions, LLC, an AMN Healthcare Company and a leader in pediatric executive search, is pleased to announce the national search for a pediatric general surgeon.
Reporting to Marc Levy, MD, Division Chief, Pediatric Surgery, the new pediatric surgeon will be responsible for conducting a full complement of general surgery cases for pediatric patients at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is home to the Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department & Trauma Center which is Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center for kids and a part of the Level I Trauma services of Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center. The pediatric surgery team also provides a full complement of services to the 142-bed NICU at the adjoining Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
The Division of Pediatric General Surgery is a team of board-certified, pediatric fellowship-trained surgeons who are skilled in the most effective surgical methods and technologies, including minimally invasive procedures. Their specializations include neonatal surgery, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, complex liver and lung operations, in addition to general pediatric surgery procedures.

Required Qualifications
MD or MD/PhD. Applicants should have American Board of Surgery BC/BE in pediatric general surgery and be eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.

- Division is supported by a well-established, dedicated pediatric anesthesia team with nine board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists and 12 CRNAs.
- Mature ECMO program for both pediatric and neonatal patients.
- OR True North award for 100% advanced CNOR certification.
- Robust PIPs program seeking ACS Children’s Surgery Verification (site visit scheduled May 2019).
- Dedicated Laparoscopic OR with Robotic availability.
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine program with eight physicians, Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center status and Fetal Surgery program.
