General Surgeon with Strong GI Focus Needed in Fort Morgan, CO. Board certified in General Surgery with experience with trauma, ATLS and ACLS required. General Surgeon with strong trauma experience (GI for possible service line growth) Surgical privileges encompass the skills required in the diagnosis, preoperative, operative and post operative management in the following: alimentary tract, abdomen and its content, breast, skin, and soft tissue, head and neck including: congenital, endocrine and ontological disorders, tumors of the skin, thyroid and parathyroid, endocrine system, surgical oncology, management of trauma, complete care of the critically ill with underlying surgical conditions in the emergency department and intensive care unit. Extremities surgery , Endoscopic techniques, and laparscopic techniques. Practice is located on the Hospital campus with access to a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services.

Medical Center is a 50-bed acute-care hospital, fully accredited by The Joint Commission. With a Level III Trauma Center, a 24-hour Emergency Room and many other services, the hospital primarily serves a two-county area of 35,000. Our diagnostic imaging services include MRI, Nuclear medicine,CT, Radiography, ACR certified Mammography and Ultrasound. Rehab services include Physical, Occupational, Sports Medicine and Speech Therapies. Other services include Cardiopulmonary, Surgery, complete Lab Services, Obstetrics, Social Services, Dietary and Home Health, inpatient behavioral health.

Fort Morgan has thrived on the eastern plains of Colorado since it was established in 1884.The city now serves as the commercial and retail hub of Northeastern Colorado, offering a multitude of cultural and educational resources. The nearby Rocky Mountains are world-renowned for their gold-medal fly-fishing and winter sports. Prime hunting areas for deer, antelope, pheasant, turkey, grouse, quail, duck and geese are plentiful around Fort Morgan. Pawnee Buttes National Grasslands, a 30-minute drive north, is a hikers and photographers paradise, and Jackson State Park and Reservoir offers boating, water skiing, and fishing. The city of Fort Morgan supports a strong city recreation program, including a challenging 18-hole municipal golf course. The 77-acre Riverside Park has playgrounds, horseshoe pits, skating rink, swimming pool, fitness trails, duck ponds, and facilities for volleyball, basketball and baseball, all adjacent to a 240-acre natural area with walking trails.
