Schedule:

  • Locum Opportunity starting January 1st, 2019
  • 1:2 Call Schedule
  • Nights & Weekends

Provider Requirements:

  • BC/BE required
  • BLS required
  • 5+ years experience preferred
  • Active NC Medical License

Brief Description of Position:

  • Inpatient & Outpatient
  • Volumes per day: (8% Outpatient, 4% Inpatient)
  • Avg number of patients per day per provider: 18
  • Avg number of Admissions per day: 1
  • No ICU/Critical Care Duties
  • Gen Surgeon will not respond to codes
  • Gen Surgeon will not serve back-up in ER
  • 24hr Hospitalist and Radiology Coverage
  • Vidant Air and Ground Support to transfer patients
  • Procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy
  • 15 surgical beds at location one
  • 4 surgical beds at location two
  • Hospitals are 20 minutes apart
