General Surgery opening in MI Located in Tawas Saginaw 80m; Detroit 180m Full-time; permanent Seeking a full-time Board-Certified General Surgeon to join our practice in Tawas MI. Set on the picturesque shores of Lake Huron this role based in Tawas MI and is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, seeking to get away from the hustle and bustle while working with dedicated colleagues to bring exceptional care. Opportunity to provide comprehensive care Provide bread and butter surgical services in a 47-bed acute care Ascension hospital Work in a scenic setting with the feel of private practice and the support of local affiliates Picturesque City along beautiful Lake Huron surrounded by a vibrant local community Responsibilities The selected Surgeon will provide bread and butter surgical procedures including endoscopies (EGD/Colonoscopy) at one site located in Tawas, Michigan. The call schedule is typically 1:3 weekends with shared weekday call. Average case load for call is 5 after hours operative cases per month. The selected candidate will admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care and perform surgical procedures to patients of all ages to correct or treat various general surgical conditions. Any patient that exceeds the level of care available at Tawas St. Josephs or those of tertiary care can be sent to the sister hospital to your additional departmental colleagues [Register to View] that represent all surgical subspecialities.
