This Birmingham Health System is assisting a private Surgery practice in their search for a Board certified/board eligible General Surgeon. Job features include the following.

• 3 physicians and 1 PA in group
• Single specialty, existing group: Employment agreement, pathway to partnership
• Sign on bonus, moving expense
• Medical, Dental, Vision, plus 401K
• American trained only
• Practice opened in 1975
• 5 exam rooms
• General surgery block time
• Patients seen per day
  • 5 – 20 patients in clinic
  • 3 – 4 clinics per week
• E clinical works – EMR
• Physicians go to rural hospitals to grow practice
• Typical day: rounding before clinic, clinic, home after clinic
• Call 1:4 for weeknights and weekends
• No buy in
• Cooperative, collegial group
