Job Description

The primary focus of the Acute Care / Trauma Surgeon is to provide care to all patients.

Details:

• Locum position
• 2-3 month assignment
• 278-bed hospital with a level II trauma center
• Trauma admission rate: 900 patients per year
• Shift times: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Minimum of 7 shifts in a row either once or twice per month is required
• Call schedule: 12 hours of primary in-house call; 12 hours of secondary home call
• Respond to all trauma codes, emergency general surgery, and rounds in the ICU

Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care (ACS or Trauma)
• Unrestricted and valid Indiana medical license
• PALS and ATLS certifications required
• Must have 2 years of recent trauma / acute care surgery experience
