Florida Trauma/Critical Care Surgery Locums Opening
- Required:
- BC: General Surgery & Surgical Critical Care with residency in Gen'l surgery and fellowship in Acute Care Surgery or Trauma
- 2 years recent trauma/ Acute Care Surgery experience (and case logs to support it). *No new grads.
- ATLS
- Active FL License
- Schedule
- Asap - Ongoing 2-3 months
- 7a-7p; 7p-7a (doc must work 12 hr hospital+ 12 hr call
- minimum shifts /mo:7 shifts in a row either once or twice per month
- 12 hrs primary in-house call followed by 12 hrs seconday call from home/ hotel (30 min response time). Our surgeons respond to all trauma codes, emergency general surgery & round in the ICU (trauma patients only).
- There are also a few hours of follow up clinic 1 day/week with APP.
- No Scribes
- APP coverage: #1: 7A-7P; APP #2 10A-10P
- MD coverage: 2 daytime in house & 1 nighttime in house
- Level II Trauma Center
- Total beds: 230, ICU: 36
