Job Description

This large southeast GA medical center is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon. The Medical Center is a licensed 612-bed, Level 1 Trauma Center providing the most advanced healthcare in the region. The Medical Center pioneered open-heart surgery in southeast Georgia and they continue to offer some of the most advanced surgical technology in the region. The incoming candidate will be able to perform cardiac, thoracic, and structural procedures. Robotics training a plus! Last year, the medical center operated on over 300 hearts, performed approximately 80 TAVR's, and are currently on target to exceed these numbers in 2018. This market is virtually untapped and the incoming Physician has the potential to build a stellar program. 

The Medical Center serves 35 counties across southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina. In addition to MHUMC, our system includes primary and specialty care doctors, business services, and NurseOne, our 24-hour call center. We also have a major medical education program that trains residents in diagnostic radiology, family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and surgery.
