Hiring a Breast Surgeon for a vibrant and very busy Teaching Community Medical Center

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality breast surgery according to the latest techniques.
  • Join a multi-disciplinary team approach with breast radiology, plastic & and reconstruction, general surgery and Chairman of Surgery.
  • Deliver care in a patient-centered model.
  • Provide timely consults as requested by private attendings.
  • Lead a private practice with hours and schedule to accomodate patient needs and Hospital directives.
  • Ensure the private practice is efficient, caring and flexible.
  • Comply with all clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures
  • Ensure the center obtains and retains accreditation as a certified breast center.
  • Contribute to the Commission on Cancer responsible for sections assigned.
  • Perform outreach in the community.
  • Educate residents, medical students and nurses.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Breast Surgeon; new grads considered.
  • Valid NYS medical license
  • MD/DO degree
  • Graduate of Breast Fellowship Program
