Medical Center, a 290 bed not-for-profit hospital, located in Northern New York, has a unique opportunity for a Fellowship Trained Breast Surgeon to join our Comprehensive Women’s Health Center. The newly organized program will consolidate our current outpatient women’s health services into one convenient location which will include breast health, related radiology, ultrasound, stereotactic and other testing services. We were granted a NYS Healthcare Facility Transformation award for 9.8 million dollars which has made this project possible. The new Center has been designed and is scheduled for opening in 2019.

Our Breast Surgeon will also be a key leader in our multi-disciplinary Cancer Care Program. We have committed to providing a full continuum of cancer care in a new comprehensive cancer care center opening in Fall of 2018. Samaritan Medical Center has over 180 physicians in 40 different specialties working together with 2,000+ employees. We are the sole hospital in the community providing care to a population of 250,000.

Qualifications:

  • Fellowship trained with minimum of 3 to 4 years practice experience

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work within and appreciate team approach for delivery of optimum care
