The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana is actively seeking a full-time Sleep Lab Director with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills.

General Description of Assigned Duties:

The Director of the Sleep Lab reports directly to the Chief of Medicine and is responsible for the clinical and administrative functions of the Sleep Lab employees working in the unit, including the Sleep Lab Manager and the Medical Instrument Technicians (MIT) Polysomnographer. The incumbent is responsible for participation in and oversight of appropriate performance improvement and system redesign activities, as well as for advancing the principles of appropriate management/standards of care applicable to our Sleep Lab patients. The incumbent will lead the patient care, teaching, and research missions within the Sleep Lab.

The incumbent will also serve as a Sleep Medicine staff physician and perform all services required in the practice of Sleep Medicine.

The incumbent will participate in all required UM/QM activities relating to the Sleep Lab and address identified deficiencies in meeting relevant facility performance measures/standards of care (based upon IPEC, EPRP, OIG, and Joint Commission Requirements).
