Rheumatology Physician needed in Fruita, CO--Perm!!

M-F 8am-5pm
***Outpatient with an on-site Infusion Center***
1. How many patient encounters per day? 15 to 20 on average
2. Any support staff at the clinic? Front and back office staff
3. Is there after hours call? No
4. What EMR is used? eMD's
5. Any specific procedures routinely performed? intra-articular injections and bursal injections
6. Will you accept Board Eligible candidates? Yes, as long as they certify within a year of employment
7. What is the credentialing process entail? Credentialing through the hospital. Standard CO Healthcare professional credential application, process takes a few weeks.

Facility is a small hospital with a very bright future. We are located in Fruita, Colorado just outside the city of Grand Junction. We have all the modern shopping conveniences without all the downsides of a big city. Living here you are surrounded by 10,000 miles of hiking and biking trails in the county, World-Class Mountain biking, skiing/ snowboarding within 45 minutes and countless other natural wonders within a short drive. Whitewater rafting, hot springs, mountain climbing, rock climbing, and many other outdoor activities are all within our backyard.


Currently, we are growing our team and are looking for a physician to perform the normal and customary function of a physician practicing Rheumatology medicine as scheduled.


This physician will collaborate with staff physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to determine the most appropriate site of care for patients and the most cost-effective use of resources. They will also provide prompt and clear communication about patients’ admission, condition changes, and discharge to clinicians responsible for outpatient care; provide physician input into improvement of quality, patient safety, and patient and family satisfaction; and complete all patient charts and documentation within scheduled work hours on the same day the service is provided (as reasonably as possible).

This physician will also provide all documentation, written and phone orders, and other information necessary for billing, laboratory, imaging, and other ancillary services within reasonable time frames; provide additional duties to include, but not limited to, marketing, training, and consulting.

While here, if this physician wanted to expand their personal growth, they and the group may mutually agree to the physician’s rendering additional services. Such services may include serving on hospital staff committees, peer review organizations, or other committees of the group or its affiliates.

Package: Base annual salary; incentive package with the ability to earn up to 20% of base salary; professional liability insurance; relocation expenses; PTO/sick time; up to $5,000 annual allotment for CME’s, license, associations, etc.; and all other benefits as outlined in the facility handbook.
