Lucrative Rheumatologist Opportunity in Upstate New York

  • This is a hospital-employed position with responsibilities exclusive to Rheumatology
  • Hospital is a nearly 300 bed not-for-profit facility
  • Outpatient practice with occasional inpatient consults (average of 1 per week)
  • No evening or weekend call
  • Service area covers a population of 250,000 and the only other Rheumatologist is also hospital-employed
  • Facility has a medical staff of nearly 200 physicians; offering a very strong referral base to go along with already existing demand
  • Hospital also has a newly renovated infusion center to help support the Rheumatology practice
  • The practice is located in a newly renovated modern office within walking distance to the hospital
  • The office is designed to provide a spacious and aesthetically pleasing environment with an abundance of natural light.
  • Teaching opportunities exist with accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine & Internal Medicine programs

Compensation Package:

  • 4 year contract with guaranteed salary and WRVU incentive program
  • Salary offered is significantly above the national average for Rheumatology
  • Signing Bonus of $50,000
  • Annual Educational Loan Repayment of $20,000 for up to 4 years
  • Relocation reimbursement of $10,000
  • Annual CME stipend of $3,000 plus 5 paid days off for CME

  • Occurrence medical liability insurance; $1.3 mill each/$3.9 mill aggregate

  • New York state medical license and DEA registration paid

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Rheumatology or truly Board Eligible with intent to become Board Certified
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Appreciation for patient centered care
  • Ability to work within a team environment
