We are seeking an exceptional clinician-educator to join the Section of Rheumatology at this prestigious medical school in North Carolina. With a longstanding fellowship training program, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and already busy department, and actively participate in the medical education of fellows and residents.

Rheumatology Physician in North Carolina

We are seeking an exceptional clinician-educator to join the Section of Rheumatology at this prestigious medical school in North Carolina. With a longstanding fellowship training program, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and already busy department, and actively participate in the medical education of fellows and residents.
Fellowship Program Director Highlights:
- Established fellowship program with previous PD that had been in the role for decades
- A minimum of five years of experience in training rheumatology fellows and/or internal medicine residents in an ACGME accredited program
- Facilitate programs and resources to assist and promote faculty growth, development, and accomplishments in the fields of education, research, and professional service.
- Total of 3 fellows with approval to add a fourth
- Minimum 40% protected time
- No General Internal Medicine call
- A dedicated Lupus Specialty Clinic
- An Infusion Centers at each site
- Be a part of this busy, growing practice currently comprised of four rheumatologists and one PA
- Flexibility regarding time allocation for clinic, administrative days, precepting, teaching, or scholarly work
- Competitive compensation- exceed AAMC benchmarks

- Expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound could be an opportunity for you to have an active, additional teaching role within the fellowship and residency
- Research experience in clinical trials is a plus (but not required)
