We are searching for a physician who desires a full-time employment position with outstanding benefits. The opportunity will be a 60% core faculty residency post and complementary clinical practice at a rural family medicine residency program to begin in July 2018.


Parameters:

- Can be MD or DO
- Strong interest in both clinical and residency teaching
- Physician and spouse enjoy rural setting with close proximity to three metro areas
- Prefer they have at least three (3) years of experience in Residency Faculty teaching
- ABAT (prefer to avoid a J-1 or H1B Visa candidate)
- Outpatient practice/hospitalist do admissions – No call


HOSPITAL:
The hospital is a 72-bed facility with a number of out-patient clinics all under one roof. Built in 2010, the facility includes a 24/7 ED with adjacent Urgent Care Clinic, primary care clinics, inpatient medicine (hospitalist), behavioral health, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatry, wound care, endocrinology/diabetic center, dental, optometry and audiology providers. We have both in and outpatient pharmacies, lab, physical therapy and imaging – including 64 and 256 slice CT and MRI.


ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The residency program, to begin in 2018, will be ACGME accredited and, as outlined in recent residency requirements, will accept both allopathic and osteopathic family medicine residents interested in a rural residency. Over 1,000 professionals, including a medical staff of over 100 serving the Native American population. The department of health and a number of other tribal departments employ 13,000 people, making it the second largest employer in the state.


ABOUT THE COMMUNITY:
Ada, Oklahoma has an approximate population of 20K. Located about two hours north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area and two hours southwest of Tulsa, we are only 70 minutes southeast of Oklahoma City. The University of Oklahoma is a one hour commute and Oklahoma State University is two hours away. East Central University is located in the heart of Ada, offering a large variety of undergraduate degrees and several graduate programs. There are three public education school systems in close proximity, each unique in the number of attending students.
