A clinic in North Carolina is seeking a Neuroradiology Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.

Assignment

  • Dates: Immediate, ongoing or TTH
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Setting: Mix of Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Call: Weekend call (Friday-Sunday) split evenly between the 6-7 members of the group. 10 weeks of Monday - Thursday weekday call (1:00 PM-11:00 PM) split evenly between 6-7 members of the group so 1-2 weeks of weekday call annually.
  • Volume: General studies: 65-80 studies/day INDIVIDUALLY. For the GROUP of radiologists reading diagnostic: 20-30 MRIs per day, 50-60 CTs per day, 80 plain film per day, 20-25 PET/CT scans per week
  • Patient Ages: Mostly adults
  • Procedures: Bread and butter IR procedures: LPs, myelograms, central lines and other line work for dialysis unit, little to no neuro IR. Growing cancer center so maybe some chemo embolizations, etc.
  • Cases: Neuro, MRI, CT, MSK, Plain film, PET/CT, Fluoro, Mammo. Candidates who are generalists with a subspecialty preferred. For the most part, everyone reads everything to some extent.
  • Support Staff: 7-8 radiologists in group; rad techs with hospital
  • EMR/Charting: Agfa PACS; Synapse PACS from Fujifilm
