Clinical Associate Radiologist
**Need someone who does all modalities of Radiology**
Academic options
Clinical responsibilities will include plain radiography, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, interventional procedures and PET CT. Memorial Hospital utilizes Powerscribe 360 and Phillips iSite for their PACs system. The US and interventional equipment suite is Phillips and the hospital has 2 Siemens MRI scanners; a 3.0 tesla Trio and 1.5 Tesla of Avanto. Genius 3D Mammography exam with the SmartCurve.
OHSU is a teaching facility and while you will not have direct responsibilities teaching medical students and residents in the clinical setting there may be occasional opportunities to give lectures during the course of the year and participate in resident conferences. Opportunities for medical student, resident, or fellow education may be future possibilities.
As the only academic medical center in the state of Oregon, OHSU provides a full spectrum of care to a large and diverse population, including the Knight Cancer Institute. OHSU is home to numerous specialized research centers and institutes and offers excellent opportunities for multidisciplinary research, with a history of innovative and collaborative studies. There may be opportunities to collaborate with other department faculty on research projects that may be of interest, although such activities are not expected of Clinical Associates and are voluntary.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must be ABR board certifying eligible after passing the ABR Core Exam and successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency. International Medical Graduates are eligible for the position provided they have a valid ECFMG certificate, have completed an ACGME-accredited residency and ABR Core Exam, or are otherwise board-eligible through the ABR IMG Alternate Pathway program.
Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed Planetree-designated critical access hospital in Astoria, Oregon. In spite of the small size, there is a lot going on! Hospital has a fully integrated EMR, excellent ancillary support services, on-site rehab services and a Professional Staff that values practicing evidence-based medicine. The hospital employs 30 physicians and midlevel providers in 14 specialties. Our primary care patients have access to onsite specialists in OB/Gyn, urology, orthopedics, general surgery and podiatry, as well as endocrinology, pulmonology, cardiology and oncology. Hospitalists are available to cover inpatient care if desired. Hospital has great relationships with tertiary care centers in Portland, including stroke telemedicine through OHSU.
