Client has is seeking a well-rounded general radiologist.

Located in Central VT it provides the perfect combination of family-centered care and advanced technology. Located just a half-hour from the state capital and less than an hour from some of the Northeast’s top ski areas.

Client's completely digital imaging department combines highly skilled, multi-modality trained, certified staff with state-of-the-art technology. Equipment includes a brand-new 1.5T wide-bore MRI scanner; a 64 slice Phillips CT scanner; Hologic digital tomosynthesis mammography with dedicated workstation; 2 GE ultrasound scanners, two digital x-ray rooms; a Siemens nuclear medicine camera; and GE bone density. We have a high-end fluoroscopy suite capable of IR procedures, currently used for general fluoroscopy, shoulder and hip injections and occasional PICC lines. Anesthesia currently uses the equipment for epidurals and SI joint injections as needed. Services could be expanded to offer vertebroplasty and beyond.

Current schedule shared by two hospital employed radiologists is 7 on and 7 off, days only. Hours are usually 8a-5p Monday-Friday and 8a-2p Saturday and Sunday. Teleradiology coverage with preliminary reads is in place after 5pm weekdays and 2 pm on weekends.

Successful candidate should be a well-rounded general radiologist comfortable working solo and reading all modalities and performing a few procedures or mammography call-backs per day. Must be comfortable with all CT and MR, including Neuroradiology and MSK - no breast or cardiac MR or CT. Must read mammography and be MQSA certified with ability to read tomosynthesis, as well as willing to perform both ultrasound (common) and stereotactic (occasional) breast biopsy. Cardiac nuclear studies are currently read by radiology as well.
