A radiology group in the Salt Lake City, Utah area with a very robust interventional practice is looking for an ABR certified, fellowship trained vascular interventional radiologist for help starting November 2018 and ongoing, every week. The schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and if the locums radiologist is open to it, there is also the possibility of evening and/or weekend call. The radiologist position is 70% interventional and 30% reading general diagnostic studies. The locums radiologist will see a full spectrum of interventional services including: PVD, venous access, aortic stent grafts, stroke inter-vention, UFE, varicose vein treatment, angioplasty, carotid stenting thrombolysis/ thrombectomy, dialysis vascular care, IVC filter placement/retrieval, hepatobiliary interventions, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, pain management procedures, central line placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, image-guided biopsies/drains, and TIPS. The radiologist will rotate between a couple outpatient sites. The average procedure volume per day is 6 to 8 procedures, in addition to reading 34 diagnostic studies, and an average of 42 work RVU’s per shift. The site uses several Centricity and Novarad for their PACS systems and Fluency, Carestream, and Power Scribe 360 for the voice recognition systems depending on the worksite.
