Diagnostic Radiologist El Paso - ongoing - no mammo
StartDate: 09/10/2018Available Shifts: Day
A hospital in far West Texas is in need of an ongoing ABR certified general diagnostic radiologist for coverage starting September 2018, the job can be split between a couple radiologists. The need is every week, ongoing, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, no call, solo site, but other radiologists are available at different related locations. There will be some weekend shifts needed - shifts are either 7am-3:30pm, 10am – 6pm, or 4pm – 11pm, the radiologist can choose which shift works best for them. A typical day is reading 90 studies per day a breakdown would be 30 cat scans, 10 MR, 20 ultrasounds, 20 plain films, and a couple nuclear medicine studies. There is no mammography. The radiologist will also perform 3-4 procedures per day consisting of paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, and fluoro cases. There can be some flexibility in the types of procedures depending on the radiologist’s skill set. The PACS is GE and the voice recognition is Powerscribe.
