Job Description

Last Update: 7/02/19

Vein Clinics of America (VCA) is seeking a full time, board certified physician to lead the clinical efforts of an established clinic in Philadelphia Center City, PA.

The ideal candidate will hold board certification in one of the following specialties: Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology or Vascular Medicine. Physicians who join VCA are given thorough training in diagnosing and treating venous insufficiencies. Prior experience in venous procedures is not required for employment.

Vein Clinics of America (VCA) is expanding and has interest in speaking with you.

Vein Clinics of America is the largest network in the country that specializes exclusively in vein health, and has the most experience of anyone in the field. Over decades, our network physicians have helped pioneer vein treatment and advance phlebology from a relatively new, little-understood discipline to the sophisticated and competitive field it is today.

There are a handful of organizations across America who treat vein disease, but none are quite like VCA. Vein Clinics of America has the most experience of anyone in the vein healthcare field and is the nation’s largest network that exclusively specializes in treatment for varicose veins and spider veins. Our innovation, leadership and commitment to excellence helped elevate phlebology from a little understood discipline to a medical specialty that was formally recognized by the American Medical Association in 2005.

Vein Clinics of America network physicians meet the highest industry standards.

Elsewhere, physicians typically receive training from colleagues during a specialty preceptor ship or fellowship. They essentially add vein disease to the roster of conditions they already treat. Although competent and professional, we’ve heard terms like “dabbling” and “moonlighting”.

Vein Clinics of America physicians, on the other hand, become specialists in phlebology and are fully dedicated to the field. Our physicians see more patients, and a wider range of cases, than most vein doctors at other organizations with names similar to ours.

Vein Clinics of America has always trained our own physicians, because this ensures quality and maintains our high standard of providing experienced medical care. Before practicing at VCA, all new physicians undergo a supervised, extended period of specialized training.

Vein Clinics of America doctors also comprise the nation’s largest network of certified Phlebologist. To achieve certification, a physician must complete the requisite training or attain certain experience qualifications, meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements, and pass a stringent certification examination. Most Vein Clinics of America vein physicians become members of the American College of Phlebology and/or certified by the American College of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, the only advanced certification in the field.

Vein Clinics of America physicians provide comprehensive patient care.

Vein Clinics of America’s philosophy of patient care is based on complete disease management, from initial screening to treatment and subsequent follow-ups, and our physicians wholeheartedly believe in this process. But the difference goes beyond your ability to treat vein disease itself. Our physicians are dedicated to making our patients feel at ease throughout the entire treatment process, and back on their way to a happy, healthy life.

Procedures to be performed and conditions to be treated (but not limited to):

  • Vein ablation
