The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging within the Department of Radiology at the University of Iowa is seeking a full-time, board certified, fellowship trained Musculoskeletal Radiologist. This is a permanent appointment (academic rank based on qualification).

The Department of Radiology is committed to providing quality patient care, research, teaching, individual career development, collegiality among faculty members and works closely with departments across University of Iowa Medical School. The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) is a state-of-the-art 800-bed tertiary care center that annually admits more than 36,000 patients for in-patient hospital care.

Enjoy an excellent working relationship with our orthopedic trauma, oncology, and sports medicine providers. Perform a variety of imaging guided musculoskeletal procedures including arthrograms, bone biopsies, and ablation of bone lesions, and utilize musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment, including: all joint injections and aspirations; tendon sheath injections; extremity, thoracic spine and lumbar spine bone and soft tissue biopsies; lumbar spine epidural, facet, and nerve root injections.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who have the enthusiasm for musculoskeletal imaging and teaching to fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as a desire to participate in departmental and interdisciplinary research.

Qualifications:
Prior to the start of employment, qualified candidates must:

  • Have a medical doctorate (M.D.) or equivalent

  • Have completed fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology

  • Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. If board eligible, must be on track for board certification.

  • Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Iowa
