Chief, Division of Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position as Chief, Division of Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead an academically advanced and clinically vibrant group ideally positioned for extraordinary growth. Reporting to the Chairman of the Department of Radiology, he/she will assume senior leadership in all clinical, research, and educational endeavors related to the current Division of Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging. We are looking for an individual with outstanding academic and leadership qualities at the associate or full professor level. It is highly desired, but not required, that this candidate has a strong record of active basic and/or translational research; demonstration of successful NIH or equivalent extramural funding as a PI is preferred.

The responsibilities of this position will include administrative oversight of the Division of Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging operations, patient care, research, and education of trainees; clinical services will be performed primarily in a teaching setting with trainee participation. The Division currently includes 10 subspecialty-trained radiologists (supported by NPs and RAs) performing a range of imaging-directed diagnostic (e.g., CT, MR, US) and/or non-vascular interventional (e.g., biopsies, RFAs) activities in the adjoining University Hospital and Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital. The position offers excellent opportunities for advancement in all facets of Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging, supported by the outstanding resources in the 155-person Department, including its world-class Laboratory for Augmented Intelligence in Imaging.

Job Requirements

Required qualifications of candidates for the position of Chief, Division of Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging include: 1. MD (or equivalent) degree; 2. ABR certification; 3. Fellowship training in abdominal & pelvic imaging; 4. License, or eligibility for licensure, in the State of Ohio; 5. Current rank, or eligibility for rank, of Associate or Full Professor of Radiology; 6. History of > 5 years practicing abdominal & pelvic imaging; 7. Strong leadership, mentoring, and management experience; and 8. Ability to work in collaboration as a multi-modality team member (including surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists), as well as participation in multidisciplinary research.

Additional desired qualifications include: 1. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teaching skills; and 2. Evidence of strong record of research including peer-reviewed publications and NIH (or equivalent) extramural funding as a PI.
