Radiology (General or Body Imaging) Faculty Position Opportunity - Tyler Texas (233,000 Metro Area, 90 Min to Dallas)
Seeking a Faculty Radiology physician to join our health system comprised of 10 hospitals and more than 70 physician clinics. The ideal candidate would be BC/BE and eligible for licensure in Texas. They would also be team oriented and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a growing academic environment.
About this Position:
- Physician will interpret diagnostic imaging.
- Consult with technologist and other physician clinicians to problem solve and set protocols for looking for certain imaging features.

- Average 45-50 studies a day per person, total 150-180
- 64 slice CT scanner
- 1.5 tesla magnet
- PET/CT
- SPECT NUC med with CT scan, SPECT-CT
- Ultrasound
- Tomosynthesis Mammography
- Molecular breast imaging (MBI)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtime as needed. Call is 1:3 weeks. Tele-radiology service utilized for overnight reads; Physician will need to over-read reports the following morning. Saturday and Sunday call will consist of 2 to 5 hours to read weekend and overnight studies.
- Research is not necessary, but the opportunity is available to clinical faculty.
- Teaching responsibilities will include internal medicine and family medicine residents. Schedule is on average 1-1.5 days a week.
