Medstaff is looking for a Breast Imaging Diagnostic Radiologist available for a long-term contract for the military in Coastal Virginia

- Because it is Military, they allow any US Medical License!
- Requires completed residency and Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology. Either a Fellowship in Breast/Women's Imaging of have at least 3 years of breast imaging experience in the past 5 years. Also requires 2 out of the past 4 years of experience interpreting breast MRI exams, needle localization procedures, MRI guided and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies
- Normal Schedule is Mon-Fri, daytime hours, 8.5-9 hour shift with 30-60 minute unpaid lunch within 0700-0659 hours. Services may also include(but rare) night and weekend shared call (1:31), with a resident also taking at-home call duties
- Start date is based on time for acceptance and clearance, about 8-10 weeks
- Duration can be through May 2023
Duties may include but are not exclusive to:
- Provide comprehensive breast imaging services using all available breast imaging modalities. Includes but not limited to interpretation of mammograms, sonograms, MRI exams, performance of image-guided biopics. Additionally, this is a teaching hospital, so provider will have no more than 20% of the time in academic instruction, including lectures, to all radiology residents and fellows as part of the educational duties as an academic Radiologist Senior Breast Imager.
Qualifications: Allows any unrestricted US Medical License and requires Board Certification in Radiology, comfort using EMR and at least 3 years in the past 5 years, of Breast Imaging Radiology experience.
