**Pulmonary/Sleep positions open in Columbia, SC** Located in Columbia, SC Full-time, permanent placement Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Positions in Columbia, SC Actively recruiting BC/BE Pulmonary Medicine physicians to take over an established patient base. This is an excellent opportunity to build a new, outpatient practice immediately. Pulmonary physicians fellowship trained in Sleep Medicine are also being sought. Call is shared with other providers and there is in house critical care coverage. A highly competitive financial package will be offered to the right candidates, along with sign-on, loan repayment, and training stipends. About the Hospital Hospital has two campus locations. Hospital's main campus is located in the heart of downtown Columbia. The 258-bed hospital was founded in 1938 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Augustine to minister to the community, in body, mind and spirit. The facility is best known its expertise in cardiac care and serves as a nationally-recognized referral center for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The facility has been recognized 23 times with the top rating provided by the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons. Located near Highway 77 in Northeast Columbia is a 75-bed fully-functioning orthopedic specialty hospital. Since its recent renovation, the hospital has earned recognition as an Aetna Institute of Quality® Orthopedic Care Facility for total joint replacement surgery as well as BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's Blue Distinction accolade. The Community Founded in 1786, Columbia is known for the three rivers that converge in the city, the Saluda, the Broad and the Congaree. The Columbia metropolitan area includes both Lexington and Richland counties. The area is also home to Fort Jackson, the largest and most active Initial Entry Training Center in the United States Army. There are multiple colleges and universities in the city including the University of South Carolina, Columbia College, and Benedict College. These institutions provide a robust environment of learning and culture.
