  • 168 Bed Hospital
  • 16 ICU Beds
  • Level 3 Trauma
  • Medford, OR

Pulmonology Critical Care
  • Schedule is 7a -7p;7p- 7a
  • 100% Adult
  • 10% Inpatient
  • 90% Critical Care
  • 15 patients per day
  • 3 admissions
  • 4 Pulmonologists in group

Dates:
  • Aug 13-19 Days
  • Sept 3-9, 24-30 Nights
  • October 29-Nov Days
  • Dec 3-9, 24-30 Nights
  • Dec 17-23 Days and Nights

Required procedures:
  • Performance of and Interpretation of Pulmonary function testing
  • Ventilation Management
  • Invasive(ETT/NT/Tracheostomy)
  • non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
  • Bronchoscopy-Diagnostic # - w/endotracheal biopsy, w/transbronchial biopsy, w/bronchial alveolar lavage, Pleural biopsy

Preferred Procedures:
  • Insertion of PA Catheter
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
  • Temporary pacemaker
  • ICP evaluation and management
  • Dialysis catheter placement
  • Diagnostic/therapeutic taps
  • Lumbar puncture
  • Paracentesis

Critical Care Practice Settings:
  • Cardiac arrest/failure
  • Respiratory arrest/failure
  • Sepsis
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Renal failure
  • OD/poisoning
  • Drowning
