A New York City health services organization is currently seeking an experienced Public Relations professional to join their staff as their new Public Relations Manager.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, the Public Relations Manager will be responsible for:
  • Identifying and creating media pitches
  • Maintaining media lists and securing positive publicity ??????
  • Developing and managing blogger relations
  • Creating and distributing the quarterly newsletter and other internal communications
  • Managing a marketing calendar as well as working with the team and its Marketing and Advertising agencies
  • Handling other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Communications, Public Relations and/or related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relation and/or a related field
  • Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role
  • Computer savvy
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
