In this position, you may:

  • Provide care with primarily elderly clients to conduct the diagnosis, study, and treatment of certain mental illnesses in a variety of workplace settings. Your practice will include depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, Parkinson's disease, among other acute or chronic mental illness conditions.
  • Visit patients via telemedicine in senior communities (assisted living facilities, memory care units, adult family homes, transitional facilities) and their private residences where our patients reside to conduct visits.
  • Have autonomy in clinical decision-making with the back-up support of primary care providers and administrative teams.
  • Complete as needed consultations with primary care providers to complete comprehensive care for patients.

Duties and Responsibilities may include:

  • Managing the psychiatric needs of a caseload
  • Assisting as needed with immediate patient psychiatric needs for primary care providers through consults
  • Geriatric care assessment via testing mental, physical, emotional, and psychological health, as well as assessing functionality, living conditions, socio-economic environment, social circles, family involvement, and everything else that goes into determining quality of life.
  • Issuing appropriate orders, prescription refills, and completing other administrative tasks post-visit
  • Utilizing a comprehensive EHR to manage patient care.
  • Delivering psychosocial treatments that have proven effectiveness. Objectively assess cognitive and behavioral functions.
  • Completing individual, group, and family conversations and collaboration for comprehensive care
  • Collaborating with a remote medical assistant to manage caseload and address emergent issues and questions (M-F, 8am-5pm)
  • Communicating effectively and promptly with team members, patients, caregivers and families via phone, email and fax
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all clinical information and updating patient records in a timely manner
  • Maintain an appropriate home office for administrative days that has adequate wifi

Required Qualifications:

Physicians require completed degrees and certifications.

  • Current NPI/DEA/PTAN number
  • Active state licensure for clinical practice in WA state
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current and valid driver license and insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of clinical experience
  • Prior experience with the geriatric population
  • Credentialing with Medicare and other major insurers
