Perm Solutions USA has a new opportunity for a hospital employed Geriatric Psychiatrist/ Medical Director in Columbus NE. This is a new Senior Behavioral Health Unit which is opening in August 2021.
Details:
- Hospital Employed
- 15–20 hours/week (treatment team, psych evaluations, treatment plans, policies, etc.)
- Tele Psychiatry Model – could look at hybrid model depending on location of psychiatrist (tele and in-house)
- 10-bed unit – program will be offered in partnership with an organization that focuses on hospital-based behavioral health.
- Inpatient geriatric psychiatry program will treat older adults who have mental health conditions like depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder – short-term stays of 10 to 14 days – advance practice nurse in psychiatry will be in the unit for day-to-day handling of patients.
- Financially Sound Hospital System

- Hospital currently in $35M renovation project to include: OR/SDS/OB/Diagnostic Imaging/New Senior Behavioral Health Unit
