Yale New Haven Hospital is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to provide direct clinical care and leadership on our 20 bed older adult unit. This unit, located in the general hospital, provides acute psychiatric care to adults aged 58 and older. The population comprises the full range of psychiatric illnesses, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and dementia with behavioral disturbance.

The position involves providing direct clinical care, directing the work of an APRN, and providing leadership for the unit, including staff development, regulatory readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and participating in program development.

The successful candidate will be Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry; Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry strongly preferred.

Several years of post-residency experience is also strongly preferred.
