Psychiatrist Leominster, MA

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health practice full-time or part-time in Leominster, MA. We are offering flexibility of schedule (FT or PT) and the possibility for remote working (or a hybrid/combination of in-clinic and remote).

The Psychiatrist will be expected to utilize telehealth and/or in-clinic based visits to assess, diagnose and treat a wide variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Supportive counseling and consultation are expected, along with psychotropic medication management, as indicated, to assist patients with problems ranging from short-term interpersonal issues to severe, chronic conditions. By using medical and psychiatric data, psychiatrists will aid in the development of treatment plans, monitor the effects of medications, and collaborate with primary care physicians, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to help patients restore their optimal mental health. This position will require supervision of internal psychiatric nurse practitioners.

Duties:

  • Assess, Diagnose, and treat a wide variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders
  • Supportive counseling and consultation
  • Psychotropic medication management
  • Treatment plan formulation
  • Patient Monitoring/follow up
  • Collaboration with other physicians, psychologists, therapists, NP’s, and support staff
  • Supervision of internal Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners

Requirements:

  • Physician License in MA
  • DEA license
  • State of MA license for controlled substances
  • Certification with the Board of Psychiatry
  • Ability to supervise Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
  • Computer literacy (EMR systems, Excel, Outlook, Word)

Schedule:

  • Full time or Part time
  • In-clinic or Telehealth (or combination/hybrid)
  • Flexible Hours

Salary (range):

  • Full time $225k - $250k per year
