Psychiatrist needed for Correctional Facility in Rusk, TX

Inpatient

ASAP – ongoing

Mon - Fri w/ 8hr. shifts or the provider can work 4 days a week 10hrs.

No Call

Will complete evaluations in D&E (Diagnostic and Evaluation) – up to 5 working days to stabilize and determine if patients need admission to a treatment track

Will also see patients who have already been admitted - treat with psychotropic medications, discharge back to assigned units when stable

Psychiatrists will assist with involuntary admission hearings, compelled medication hearings and evaluations/documentation for civil commitments to free world state psychiatric hospitals (inmates leaving the prison system who require additional psych treatment) – may be required to testify in commitment hearings occasionally – currently doing by Zoom/phone.
