This location is world famous for both its outdoor pursuits and pristine beauty, located in Central Oregon at the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains. This energetic city with a growing population of over 82,000 has a need for several more Pulmonary Critical Care Physicians. Majestic snow-capped peaks permeate the high-desert skyline making for some of the best weather in Oregon—think sun-drenched days and cool nights—along with endless options for plenty of play time.
QUALIFICATIONS: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Physician will provide inpatient and outpatient services to patients in the Central Oregon Communities.
§ Monday thru Friday Physician will see inpatients from 8 am to 10 am.
§ Monday thru Friday Physician will see outpatients at the Behavioral Health Clinic from 10:30 to noon and from 1 pm to 5 pm.
§ Physician will be a member of a local psychiatry call group comprised of local independent psychiatrists and employed providers. Call is shared equally by all psychiatry MD’s. Currently this is 1:5 and will go to 1:8 when all new hires are completed.
§ Call is outlined currently as the following:
1. Each week one psychiatrist takes the call for the entire week.
2. During day time call the “call physician” provides consults
3. Night call is 5 pm to 8 am and consists of return phone calls that come to physician from an answering service.
4. Weekend call is 24/7 and also consists only of phone calls.
5. Holidays are covered by a rotating holiday call schedule. .
